Eternity is not a nebulous place to be But a divine reality

Eternity is not a nebulous place to be, But a divine reality.
The road is long and the path is wide and at the end of the journey, so many cry.
Many are the wise and many are the broken
And many there be of what the prophets have spoken.
But there is only one truth, the way and the life
The one who leads to peace and diminishing strife.
Call upon the name of the Lord before it’s too late,
Before resentment and error becomes your fate.
Do not be a fool, like the Lazarus man
Who hoarded his wealth and now before God stands.
Our lives on this planet are fleeting and quick.
The years flow onward and the clock yet ticks.
Each one of us will give an account for our deeds
The careless and prayerless, God does not heed.
Let us carefully ponder our existence on earth,
Asking Jesus “Was my life redeemed for your Heavenly worth?”
Hell is no joke with the tormenting demons,
Spew their hatred for God while poor people are screaming.
Oh, to embrace the future of glory
All those who lived and proclaimed Christ’s story.
How the Father of lights long to embrace
all those who reach out to seek His face.
But it is not so for those who rebel
Their choice was to follow Lucifer to hell.
I offer you now a sweet invitation,
Adoption into Kingship praising God in jubilation.
Jesus is longing for your declaration,
Will you follow and love Him in full adoration?
Your motives and actions are recorded in heavenly books,
In silence be still into your heart take a look.
Ask God, “Have I run my race well?”
Or was I a hypocrite destined for hell?
Think now as you live, do you sing the wrong song?
Because eternity is a long, long time to be wrong!
