So, to add to my chagrin of battling some disabling symptoms, and hearing about some pastors’ complaints of Osteoarthritis, I decided to do some research. I believe that learning some new information about debilitating health assaults (and reversing them), can contribute to a more productive and joyful lifestyle. I can attest that getting poor sleep each night wears away the immune system and can greatly diminish our creativity and relationships. Many of us who suffer chronic pain often stay isolated. Who wants to socialize when our bodies are in pain or discomfort?
I constantly battle all kinds of weird symptoms and despite spending hundreds of dollars a month on expensive supplements, it can get depressing for me, honestly. I am grateful that being way over 50, I still have the ability to be physically active and productive. There is always much work to do on a 25 acre property and having joint issues would be a big problem for me.
The past several months, my sleep has been disturbed by terrible pain in my right knee and other nights, my right hip bone. It puzzles me because I am committed to a very strict dietary regimen, (organic as much as possible), low sugar and starches and distilled water. I also am aware of how toxic Glyphosate is, so I also have been taking Glycine powder to detoxify the Glyphosate on my produce and fruit.
As I’m thinking about and praying how I can improve my energy and immune system, I remembered my days delivering telephone books in Monmouth, Ocean and Burlington County, New Jersey.. I was outdoors everyday and Chem-trails were in abundance. At the time, 15 years ago, I was unaware of the toxic load my body was accumulating, but remember my doctor informed me of the results of my blood test. He was very surprised to see elevated levels of Mercury, Barium and Aluminum. I also had to deal with one amalgam filling which was improperly removed by an inept dentist who didn’t use a rubber dam for the Mercury removal. (If you have any dental fillings of amalgam, there are good dental websites about holistic dental amalgam removal. Mercury is highly toxic and contributes to many serious illnesses). All of this information made sense as to why I was still struggling with somewhat disabling and chronic g symptoms.
I also wish to remind you that Our great God Almighty has provided us with miraculous natural substances for our healing. Let us pray, believe and take communion daily, for Christ is our healer and it is God’s pleasure that we be in health and prosper, 3 John 1:2 . Many of us suffer needlessly and die because we were ignorant of the availability of non-pharmaceutical drugs. Many terminal Cancer patients were healed through entirely natural and non-invasive means. May we be open-minded and do our just research!
Indeed, heavy metals can significantly impair joint collagen repair and overall joint health. Exposure to toxic heavy metals, particularly cadmium, lead, and mercury, is linked to the degradation of cartilage, inhibition of collagen synthesis, and the promotion of inflammatory joint diseases like osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
. How Heavy Metals Affect Joint Collagen and Repair:
- Destruction of Cartilage Components: Cadmium (Cd) has been shown to reduce the levels of proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) while inhibiting the expression of type II collagen, which is critical for cartilage health.
- Inhibition of Collagen Production: Toxic metals like cadmium, cobalt, and nickel inhibit the synthesis of Type I collagen and other structural proteins needed for repair.
- Increased Enzymatic Degradation: Cadmium increases the expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), such as MMP13, which are enzymes that break down the extracellular matrix, including collagen in joints.
- Oxidative Stress and Inflammation: Heavy metals induce reactive oxygen species (ROS) and trigger inflammatory responses (TNF-α, IL-6), leading to joint cartilage degradation, synovitis (inflammation of the joint lining), and synovial cell apoptosis.
- Interference with Essential Minerals: Heavy metals can displace essential minerals like Zinc, Iron, and Manganese, which are necessary for proper collagen synthesis and joint repair.
Other Factors:
- Contaminated Supplements: Research has indicated that some collagen supplements may contain heavy metals (arsenic, lead, mercury, cadmium) due to poor sourcing or manufacturing practices, potentially contradicting the benefits of the supplement.
- Impact of Smoking: Cadmium accumulation from smoking is strongly linked to the development of musculoskeletal diseases and the impairment of joint health.
In summary, heavy metal accumulation in the body disrupts the delicate balance of joint remodeling, favoring degradation over repair and contributing to chronic joint pain and structural damage.
