LET THERE BE PEACE

It is a peaceful Shabbat here in a most rural area of southwestern Georgia.   Beautiful, ethereal music is playing on my stereo, Julie True’s CD, “Let My Life Be Worship.” The divine atmosphere of my bedroom is in far  contrast to what is happening in Minneapolis Minnesota.

     As I prepare to spend time in prayer and receive Jesus’s peace and my Heavenly Father’s wisdom and comfort, my mind keeps going back to the turbulent scenes my husband Mark and I see on INFO WARS.

  No Far-right nebulous rantings, political rhetoric nor religious rebukings. I am speaking as a sensitive artist who is a devoted disciple of the lord Jesus Christ since 1982.  My greatest joy has been participating in Jesus’ work of divine transformation of a broken soul. He is the restorer of the breach and the ransomer of decimated hearts. During my travailing prayer, my heart is weeping for the millions of precious people enslaved by everything opposing God’s perfect will. My heart hurts to see young men (and women) possessed by explosive rage, kicking vehicles, spewing obscenities, and casting molotov cocktails into cars and buildings. I feel somewhat embarrassed for them in that they seem to take pride in their activity. But in reality, moral, sane people like us are shocked and disgusted! 

     Wisdom tells me that God looks down from His throne with great displeasure and Jesus is weeping as all their activity is recorded in their book of life in heaven. Oh, what a terrible waste and tragedy that God’s enemy, Satan, has so beguiled most of God’s creation.

      People, please wake up and think with a critical and wise mindset. This war raging is not earthly but of a spiritual dimension. Meditate on this:

     2 Cor. 10 3-5   For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We tear down arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God and we take captive  every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

 I join with national intercessors, (24/7 National Strategic ConferencePrayer group every day and we  militantly confront the powers of darkness according to how our Lord Jesus instructed us in Luke 10:19.

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. NLT

      Christian brother or sister, are you praying Biblical scriptural prayers or lame, powerless and doubting prayers?  We are in the End times, spoken of in Revelation and it is time for us to  walk in all the authority GodAlmighty has given us. Wonder why our nation is presently  embroiled by powerful and destructive demonic activity? You’d better believe that the powers that be have released gigantic and powerful  beings to control those in power.

     Those of you who do not believe in God or Christ, I ask you to  ponder the purpose of your life and the purpose of humanity. Have you asked, “What is the purpose of all the rioting, pillage and murder? What are the good fruits of violent activities? It is time to be still, and think critically about purpose and the abundant life that only Jesus Christ can offer

 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. John 10:10  AMP   

   Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! Duet  30:19  AMP

Joy in the journey.  I'd always hoped that the road would gently unwind before me as i struggled to ascend to higher heights, while being pushed backwards, by the  continual and daunting symptoms of my many ailments. Just last week, as I was uploading my original songs and past gigs, to this website, i remembered  the anguish and  exhaustion   of supporting myself by delivering telephone books during the  day and  most evenings, I would be performing at the Oakland House, a private  event or a local tavern. My love for composing on the guitar and collaborating on original music with  John DeGrazio and Kyle Hicks saved me from suicidal  thoughts. God always made a way for me to  get fund to produce and record my songs in the studio.  I'll never forget  crying out  to God as I pushed a hand truck loaded with heavy telephone books, wondering why I wasn't touring with my band and respected.   The staggering fatigue from the  Lyme symptoms and  my carbon monoxide poisoning episode made me feel inferior and cursed,  The constant eking out a living wore down my spirits often and i wondered what my destiny was. 

      Angst, disappointment and regret, weighed me down often during my long Dystonia battle. but as I've finally come of age this late in my life, I acquiesce to the reality of Christ being my solid foundation. God's precepts have sheltered me from the sting of hatred, unforgiveness and retaliation. I know that His peace tempers me to have a grateful heart and make the most of every opportunity, however small.  I cherish, Moses' Psalm 90:12.

       Teach us to number our days that we may know wisdom.   

      No need to keep asking  Father God..."why"

       In the past, I often felt ,my creative and musical endeavors were not allowed to bear  the fruit they deserved for whatever reason. i wanted to be successful fashion designer, best selling author, renowned poet or well-loved music icon. too often, my creations had to be postponed indefinitely because of   constant interruptions of lie-threatening illnesses.. Worse yet, fewer and fewer invitations came as people became aware that the TMJ Dystonia symptoms  were diminishing my . I noticed with great anxiety, that my vocal prowess and guitar skill was also strained.  I'd expected  that I'd  get better with age, not worse.

       And so,, I determined in my heart, I would push forward no matter how much it hurt. I could not quit because of what Christ did for me. He destined me to be a conqueror and i was to  be a role model for precious  girls and women whose lives were shattered by trauma. As I scan  the horizon of my future, I'm assured that  He will bring beauty out of the ashes.  Behold, He arose  and redeemed me!
